Morris Lake, Colorado
Lake House
Originally a dated lakeside cabin with limited functionality, the Morris Lake House underwent a complete transformation into a spacious, energy-efficient home designed to maximize both comfort and lake views. The home's floor plan was entirely reimagined, including relocating the primary entrance, creating a dedicated primary suite, moving the main staircase, and adding a detached garage. Concrete passive solar walls and aging windows that once blocked the lake views were removed, opening dramatic sightlines that can now be enjoyed from nearly every room. Along with replacing every interior and exterior finish, we upgraded the home's mechanical systems, installed energy-efficient windows and doors, and added a comprehensive insulation package to improve year-round comfort. The finished home reflects the owners' vision while delivering lasting durability for Colorado's mountain climate.
